Going Places Vol.1  (VHS-C Landscapes)



Experimental personal project
Identity, Art Direction, Print, Motion, Illustration

A motion study into (4 x 45 minute) family holiday VHS-C tapes. Original footage captured between 2002-2004 of seaside locations and landscapes, in the UK and Spain. A project in collaboration with moving-image artist MALC.

VHS-C packaging paper fold-out design using sticker paper - utilising the yellow of the back, object becomes interactive with a ‘Free sticker pack included!’. Sticker pack design inspired by collected references of British and Spanish souvenir thimble graphics. Classic typography is combined with kitsch nostalgic illustrations. The characters feature in the moving-image piece, dancing around the edited footage.
